The Casino is 39,000 square feet, housing a restaurant, lounge, conference space and gaming floor. The Husky Gas Bar is 2400 square feet with a shower, 50 commercial truck parking stalls and 3 high-volume diesel lanes. Requirements
Manager Responsibilities. The person working in this position is required to make sure that both management and operational aspects of the work are handled – and that issues are handled.
- 10+ years experience in the food and beverage industry
- Minimum 3 years senior food and beverage management experience (preferably handling multiple outlets and diverse concepts)
- Food and beverage front of the house management experience with demonstrated knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of restaurant, bar/lounge and kitchen operational procedures
- Knowledge of menu composition, food preparation and basic food handling and sanitation standards
- Culinary experience preferred
- Knowledge of liquor control procedures
- Experience in a casino setting a definite asset
- Training in management and employee development preferred but not required
- Continuous training and education to keep abreast of changes in the industry and external environment
- University or college degree preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing business environment
- Developed writing skills sufficient to prepare written materials involving detailed descriptions and explanations requiring the accurate use of specialized terminology
- Self-planning skills sufficient to schedule, organize and carry out work assignments according to established work plans
- Adjusting work schedules according to changing priorities
- Developed judgment and problem-solving skills sufficient to interpret and/or analyze factual and conceptual information with the ability to adapt general procedures or approaches when formulating responses to problems

- Must display leadership skills, the ability to multitask and adjust to multiple jurisdictions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to use standard software applications including point of sale systems
- The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays
Admin Assistant
Purpose
The admin assistant is hired to provide general office and administrative duties. This person’s primary responsibility is to work within the administrative office to maintain organization and structure of all aspects that require administrative attention (such as organizing, maintenance and upkeep of records).
Roles
Reporting to the senior accountant, the admin assistant will be responsible for inputting repetitive data and information into the computer networking system and working within the office communicating with other administrators regarding other required financial applications needed for month-ends, year-ends and daily totals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Processes repetitive documents or transactions in accordance with established procedures
- Maintains records of documents processed for ready access and compiles various reports according to standard operating procedures
- Sorts, stamps and distributes in and outgoing mail according to procedures
- Answers phones, takes messages and directs calls to proper personnel
- Performs other duties as assigned by the general manager
- Assists accounts payable with filing when needed
- Retrieves information for buyers when needed
- Extensive amount of computer entry, typing, filing and processing paperwork daily
- Is responsible for maintaining purchase order logs and budget/forecast spreadsheets
- During the weekly managers meeting, takes the minutes and types/issues the approved final copy to all managers
- Assist managers in obtaining quotes for their departments
Requirements
- Must be able to accept supervision and follow instructions
- Must possess excellent communications skills
- Minimum typing speed of 25 wpm
- Must be capable of operating basic office machines such as telephone, calculator, fax, copy machine, basic computer operations and any others required
- Must be able to handle more than one assignment at any given time
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year clerical experience
- Must possess a valid driver’s license

This position requires the ability to communicate clearly, deal tactfully and work effectively with Eagle River Casino & Travel Plaza guests, staff and management. The incumbent in this position will provide a primary interface to other casino and plaza departments.
Latitude of Action
