The latest online poker rankings for the United Kingdom and Ireland, provided by PocketFives.com, still have Patrick “pleno1” Leonard and Ronan “Sw33ney” Sweeney topping them, but there’s been plenty of movement within each table.
Edinburgh-based German Henri “Buehlero” Buehler (pictured) climbed seven places to 13th at the last update. This was mostly down to him finishing fourth in a GGPoker tournament for $13,178. Buehler also collected $2,827 from a $210 buy-in bounty event, also at GGPoker.
The player known as “1mtm91” entered the UK top 20 in 18th place. A victory in the PokerStarsHot $82 PKO netted them more than $4,000. They now have more than $2.1 million in online winnings.
Jonathan “proudflop” Proudfoot returned to the UK top 20 in 20th place. Proudfoot was the number one in the UK for a while, but has since slipped out of the limelight. A win in the PokerStars Sunday 500 saw him scoop $8,099. More results like that and he’ll be right up there with the big guns in no time at all.
Leonard kept his position at the top of the rankings but for how long remains to be seen. His lead is a mere 12-points and despite winning $5,940 from a partypokerPOWERFEST event, it looks like Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford will overtake him at the next update.
Beresford enjoyed $13,675 and $5,754 scores last week plus three other scores worth more than $3,300 each. He also won a $5,200 High Rollers event at PokerStars for more than $180,000 but that came too late to be counted on his points tally.
Shoutout also to Tyler “Wonderboy222” Goatcher who won two POWERFEST events in the space of 12-hours. Goatcher triumphed in a $75K Gtd 6-Max event for $25,654 before taking down a $125K Gtd Mix-Max tournament for an additional $21,826. The Brighton man is now ranked 17th in the world, a career-best.
